Great tips. I have found setting goals has helped me a lot. Write down a set of measureable goals and read them every few days to stay on track and keep youself motivated. Try things like 'walk/jog for 30 minutes without a break by two weeks' 'be able to do 10 sit-ups in 3 weeks' etc.

Staying motivated has always been my biggest challenge. I get started but never seem to follow through with my exercise routine very long. You have some great tips here. Starting simple and being consistent so you can get over the hump really hit home.

This is a great list of tips. I think what stands out for me is tip 4 - find a buddy.

When I started down the path of losing weight, it really took me having someone else holding me accountable to really get committed to it.

All in all, a great article! Thanks for sharing :)
