Inner Beauty: How Do You Define It?

blondesunflowerThrough my work I help women with their outer beauty, but part of what I do is also help them with their inner beauty  ~ as I truly believe that inner beauty and outer beauty go hand in hand.

Society today is so hung up on outward appearances.  But part of my mission in life is to help you see your INNER BEAUTY.

I believe there is nothing better than seeing a woman who exudes beauty from the inside….and with that her outside beauty shines, flaws and all.

Which reminds me of a quote from Sophia Loren, a woman who truly had both inner and outer beauty:

“Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical”

So tell me:  How do YOU define inner beauty and what does it mean to you?  What makes a woman beautiful on the inside?  And how does she (or you) find it?

I think inner beauty is feeling comfortable with yourself inside and out.

Okay, I’m speaking as a guy and in what inner beauty in a woman means to me. I’ll just start off by saying that I know several women whose inner beauty shines out (my wife, and several more people I know personally). I also know women who I would say don’t always shine that inner beauty, too (sadly, I think) And I’m not sure how much sense this will make, but when I think inner beauty in a woman – I think about light. I don’t know if it’s really a glow, or if it’s like a light bulb going off, as much as it’s a sense of light shining out. That light shining out, I believe very deeply comes from connecting with something deeper within us. And when we do, there’s something that just shines. Not a literal “shine”, so much as as an “at peace” shine. And that’s also not to say they have to exhibit “calm” to show that “at peace” shine. I think we, as humans, can in a way, sense that light shining out. And I think that’s because there’s something deeper within all of us (men and women) that connects us – especially when we connect ourselves to “us” individually. It’s like you can feel someone’s deeper purpose when they’ve found that inner beauty…

@ Robin — I completely agree with you that inner beauty is both inside and out! I hope more woman start to realize this.

@ Lance — wow, what amazing words & insight, truly amazing!! And what wonderful depth your words have. I love how you talk about light and “shining.” Shine is a word I like to use and you explained it so perfectly, and it gave me better insight into what our own light and shine truly is. Yes, it’s about connecting with something deeper than us. So powerful, and so true. And I’m so happy to have a guy’s point of view, so thank you!!

i define inner beauty as a trueness to oneself provided one is true with his/her purpose. It is a state of peace with yourself when yr actions match what u were intended for. Imagine a coffe maker making juice??? You have to be in a journey where every step is made with an understanding of what is truly important to you.
