The other day I received a wonderful surprise (and who doesn’t love a good surprise?)
I opened up an email to find that this blog has been listed as one of the “Top 40 Nutrition Blogs” nominated by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
I am so honored to be listed alongside people & blogs such as WebMD, and author, scholar and professor Marion Nestle. Pretty cool !
The Founder of the Institute, Marc David, is a best-selling author and been featured on CNN, NBC, The New York Times, Chicago Times, Glamour Magazine and so many more. He was a guest speaker at the nutrition school I attended, and ever since I’ve followed his unique work.
Needless to say I was stunned and proud to receive such an award.
It reminded me that I’m doing good work in the world and helping change lives.
And receiving this nomination from such a respected institution is just a reminder that my message is one that needs to be heard.
The Institute for the Psychology of Eating looks beyond nutrition — they also study the new and incredibly innovative field of Mind-Body Nutrition. This is a groundbreaking area that explores the fascinating relationship between not just what we eat, but also why we eat.
And that what we think, feel, believe, our degree of pleasure, and so many aspects of our personal world — literally and scientifically impact our nutritional status, our calorie burning capacity and ultimately our health and our weight.
Weight loss, our relationship with food and with our bodies — is so much more than just what we eat.
All of which I am constantly learning and see on a daily basis with my clients.
My vision, the vision of this blog, and of Eat Without Guilt™ is a world where women (and men) can have a healthy and peaceful relationship with food, with their body, and achieve their ideal and healthy weight in a sane and peaceful way.
